BIAS, GENDER INEQUALITY, CENSORSHIP, AND OTHER ISSUES IN AI AND WHY THE HUMAN TEAM IS NECESSARY

In a world where artificial intelligence is driven by the same sources of data and many pieces of information are censored, originality, creativity, and truth-seeking are becoming increasingly important. The information landscape is dominated by a few elites with similar biases and skills, most of them are male engineers or billionaires. Just check this list and see objectively who owns truth in our current society and world as a whole: https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2022/03/ceos-fortune-500-companies-female.

Nowadays, the same men also control what is considered true or fake news or who deserves to be censored, or to succeed, based on their own biases.

In this context, it can be challenging to express unique ideas and perspectives, especially for women, who represent half of the world, but are underrepresented in the world of technology. For that reason, I believe that different viewpoints being present in the training of the AI tools is necessary to progress toward a fairer society.

Being original and creative is not just important for the personal expression of women, but also for the advancement of society. The most significant discoveries and innovations have been made by individuals who dared to think outside the box and challenge the status quo. Women need to adopt this mentality so that WEB3, and especially AI, learn in balanced ways, and so our society doesn’t repeat historical mistakes by adopting the biases of the tech elites.

One way to foster creativity and originality is by embracing diversity. When we are exposed to different cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives, we are more likely to develop unique ideas and think critically about the information we receive. Unfortunately, free speech, excessive censorship,  and biased algorithms increasingly decide what to show, promote, or hide on social media without objective or transparent reasons (for example AI could learn that a popular artist like Bad Bunny has more quality, originality, or creativity than classics like The Beatles or Michael Jackson). As a result, the information that is the main source of AI can be muted, distorted, or manipulated for political or economic gain and that’s the part where AI may be blind, but the smartest humans should be actively contributing to training better AI tools.

As technology continues to advance and the world becomes more interconnected, it is crucial that we remain open-minded and curious and inspire the smartest and most skilled people to think critically when interacting with and training AI. We must be willing to challenge the information we receive and seek out alternative perspectives. By doing so, we can help ensure that our ideas are not just original and creative, but also informed and meaningful.

In conclusion, being original and creative in a world driven by AI and algorithmically controlled information is crucial. By embracing diversity, taking time for reflection, and experimenting with new ideas, we can foster our creativity and develop new and original concepts. With these tools, we can challenge the status quo and help shape a better, more equitable, and just world. For these reasons, I am creating this innovative BLOG where you can challenge AI and show to the world your best!
